LED Banner — mobile app and website · Last updated: 20 August 2026
The short version. LED Banner runs on your device. Everything you type, design or pick as a background is stored only on your phone — we have no server that receives it, and we never see it. There is no account and no sign-in.
The app does make a few outside connections, none of which carries your banner content: ads (Google AdMob), optional crash reports and usage statistics (Firebase), optional font downloads, and purchases handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store. Crash reports and usage statistics can be switched off at any time in Settings → Data → “Help improve the app”.
This policy explains how the LED Banner mobile app (package com.pvh.ledbanner
on Android and iOS) and this website handle information. LED Banner turns your phone into a full-screen
scrolling LED sign: you type a message, style it, and play it.
Where data protection law uses the term, the developer reachable at the address in section 15 is the controller for the limited data described below.
The following is created and stored locally on your phone and is never uploaded to us:
All of it lives in the app’s private storage area, which the operating system keeps separate from other apps. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in your system settings, removes it permanently.
The free version of the app shows ads supplied by Google AdMob:
To serve and measure those ads, AdMob connects to Google’s servers and may process your device advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID, or Apple’s IDFA where you have allowed it), IP address, device and app information, and coarse ad-interaction data such as whether an ad was shown or clicked. This is used to select ads, measure their performance and prevent fraud. AdMob never receives your banner content.
How Google handles this data is described in Google’s advertising policy and Google’s Privacy Policy. You can limit or reset your advertising identifier in your device settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking). Where required by law, the app asks for your consent to personalised advertising before any personalised ad is requested, and you can change that choice later.
A LED Banner Pro subscription removes the ads.
If this build is configured with a Firebase project, the app can send two kinds of diagnostic information to Google:
Neither includes your banner text, your colours, your fonts or any image you choose.
You can switch both off together in Settings → Data → “Help improve the app”. The change takes effect immediately and permanently, and limits nothing else in the app. A build distributed without Firebase configuration sends nothing at all and keeps its error log on the device.
LED Banner Pro is an auto-renewing monthly subscription sold through Google Play or the Apple App Store. Those stores process the entire transaction. We never see or store your card number, billing address or any other payment detail — the app only learns from the store whether an active entitlement exists on your device.
Google’s and Apple’s own privacy policies govern that payment data.
The app asks for the minimum needed for the features you use, and only at the moment you use them.

Effects that use the camera flash as a strobe control the torch only; they do not open the camera or capture anything.
No feature needs the internet: the bundled fonts, sounds and templates ship inside the app, and everything works offline. The app makes four kinds of outbound connection, none of which carries your banner content:
LED Banner is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will act on it.
If you are in a region with data protection rights such as access, correction, erasure, objection or portability, you may exercise them by contacting us — noting that, for the app itself, we hold no personal data to give you. Requests about ad or analytics data held by Google should also be directed to Google using the links in section 12.
We keep no copy of your banners, so there is nothing for us to retain, lose or hand over. Data on your device is protected by your operating system’s app sandbox and by whatever device lock you use. Retention of ad, analytics and crash data is governed by Google’s policies.
This policy does not cover those services’ own practices, or any website you reach by leaving the app.
This website exists to publish these documents and information about the app. It sets no advertising cookies and asks you for nothing. As with any web server, our hosting provider records standard request logs — IP address, browser type, date and time, and the page requested — used only to operate and secure the site.
If a future version of the app changes any of this, this page and the copy inside the app will describe the change, and the “last updated” date above will move. Material changes will be summarised at the top of this page.
